PROGRAMS

With Yerbabruja gearing up to provide more extensive services, this description is subject to fairly frequent change.  Take another look in the not-too-distant future to see whether there are any significant changes to the following:


Professional Main Stage Program – Encompasses experimental theatre and interdisciplinary productions.

Professional Workshop Series – Includes acting, creative movements, mask training and popular theatre.

Touring Program -- A variety of shows held, throughout the year, at various community, hospital, senior citizen center, cultural festival, library, and other not-for-profit organizations' events.

Youth Ensemble Program – A teen theatre pre-professional development group, encompassing stage, film, puppetry and other performing arts disciplines.

In-School Programs:   Art in Education Residencies – 10- to 20-week programs held throughout the school year that integrate classroom curriculum with theatre skills, culminating with final performances during the Spring.

After-School Programs – School (and possibly other) venue workshops for students to develop theatre presentation and literacy skills.

Annual Arts Festival – Annual Spring community outdoor festival exposing diverse audiences of all ages to culturally diverse performing and visual arts.

Bilingual Story Time Program – Monthly programs designed primarily for pre-school children.

Salsa & Other Latin Dance Workshops – The focus is on the historical context of such dances, not merely the dance steps.

Art Gallery – The mini art gallery in our office provides local artists with an opportunity to display their works.

Restaurants & the Arts Series – Emerging local musicians, poets, and other artists will have an opportunity to perform/exhibit.at local restaurants.

Annual Gala – Fundraising dinner/dance, unique for its costume themes and lots of fun.
